I find it amazing that it only took 10 years since the invention (well, it was more a concept because it didn't work at all) of the toaster 1909 for the modern and highly functioning toaster to be put on the market 1919 (which is an awesome year :) ) I believe the toaster is a truly unique invention because not much has been changed with it since 1919. Sure there have been minor changes but the thing itself hasn't changed. This is very uncommon as almost every invention changes to fit the modern era. Its a truly amazing piece of technology.

-Toaster Art of the Week 5-
Name= Mosaics Garden
Type= Mosaic
Date Created= Date Unknown
Location= Carmel, Indiana
Artist= Nancy Keating
Source= Mosaics Garden.com
This gorgeous mosaic masterpiece is unique because it is made out of an actual toaster! I love the colors and the somewhat ocean themed exterior. The toast on top adds a cute and quirky touch. The pattern is lovely and it was probably difficult to make the mosaics go the circular toaster top. Overall a fantastic piece!

Type= Painting
Date Created= Date Unknown
Location= Chicago, Illinois
Artist= Karee Barrett

I love this painting because of the balance between natural and man made features. This painting shows that both of them can be beautiful, and both should be appreciated. In order to live a happy, healthy life, you must have a balance between the two. Nothing is still good in excess. The detailing of every bit of the piece is fantastic and this is an all around great piece of artwork.

This painting is truly a masterpiece. The warm orange background really fits theme of toast and makes you feel cozy. The piece is very inviting and has a simple pleasure and nostalgia to it. The toaster itself is very realistic and this art piece is over all, really great!

-Toaster Art of the Week 2-
Name= Toaster Drawing
Type= Traditional/Surreal
Date Created= December 20, 2006
Location= United States
Artist= ShiningMoon (Amanda)

The beautiful apocalyptic nature of this piece adds a hint of sadness and inspiration. I love the way that Amanda posted her masterpiece online because that way many people could find it easier and enjoy the piece. This artwork is one of my personal favorites because it happens to be so detailed and you can tell that she spent along time on it. This is gorgeous.

-Toaster Art of the Week 1-
Name= The Toasters
Type= Street Art
Date Created= February 21. 2011
Location= London, England
Artists= "The Toaster Crew" (3 Artists)
Source= StreetArtLondon.Co.UK
This stunning masterpiece depicts six toasters. The simplicity of black and white design for the toasters combined with the beautiful and vibrant colors behind them creates a gorgeous masterpiece for many to adore. Street art makes art accessible to the public and adds an attractive pop of color to an otherwise drab city block.
